Thankfully I didn't have to walk Django first thing, giving me time to read one of the two papers that MSc student Z has been studying, before catching up with И at 10:00. Then I went into Edinburgh by bus, stopping off to order Mum's medication and pay her paper bill. At work I did some preparation for B's supervision meeting, met Z, and had my annual review meeting - then did the self-review that should have been completed first! The meeting with MSc student B brought that part of my working day to an end. On my way home I called in on Mum, and after tea walked Django. I was uninspired on another dull evening, but this cheery bush always makes me smile.

Back home I made sure to relax by watching the cricket highlights, before finishing slides for a 7-minute "lightning talk" and recording it. The editing takes ages but, thankfully, the first cut came out at 7:05 so, at 01:20, I got to bed.
