Beamish

Beamish "the living museum of the North", County Durham

A long day. The museum has started expanding since I last visited, with a 1950s street now open and construction clearly still underway just round the corner from the 1900s town.

It was proving popular and, despite timed entry slots, it was chaoticly queued at the entrance. Inside it was easy enough to avoid large crowds, though school parties would suddenly descend.

Lots we didn't manage to see on this visit but fun was had and that's the main thing.
