Hydrangeas in full bloom

Today I needed to spend some time tidying up the garden, moving pots around and removing weeds from between the paving stones. I also went to the garden centre and bought some white hydrangeas to complement the pink ones I have. 
Then to the allotment as my friend who I share with has COVID…for the first time. She picked it up on a walking holiday in Wales!

This morning I went to Sports Day for the reception classes at my grandchildren primary school. I was not sure what to expect  for that age group.  There were no races as such it was more participation in teams and no winners. There were 5 teams of 5 or 6 and some of the ‘events’ were rolling a tyre round a cone and back to the team then the next person had a go,  running and jumping over little hurdles, running with a big building block and building a tower and the one they liked best was throwing wet sponges from one person to the next! They got quite wet so good it was a warm day.
