A Quiet Fourth

A perfectly lovely day, marred only by our concern for a convalescing friend not home from the hospital yet.
Eric trimmed back the hydrangea - that also exploded with growth.
Extra: we had Marjorie over for burgers; she is pretty home-bound anymore and said she was happy to get out.
