Red Astilbe...!!

This one is a stunning color and the photo doesn’t do it justice at all...
The extra is the contrast color between my Green and Pink Gooseberry Jam..it’s quite different and most people don’t realize there’s a ‘pink/red’ one......
I’ve had a busy day ...cutting back my redcurrant bush trying to take back control of my wildly overgrowing garden...and I found ripe raspberries underneath the growth..!!
And picked another kilo of gooseberries...more jam tomorrow..!
I’ve just had a lovely surprise takeaway Chinese ‘eve of my birthday’ dinner with my son as he won’t be here tomorrow..he also bought me a lovely cake but I think I’ll be leaving that for tonight...!!!!!
