My right boot creaks

I discovered that my right boot creaks when I walk on the way into work. I'd never noticed it before. It isn't quite so noticeable outside, but inside it's terrible! It sounds like I have a wooden leg! I haven't, by the way.

What happened today? Nothing! I just plodded on (noisily if I walked anywhere) and gratefully escaped at my usual 3:15. I didn't even think of a blip until I was going home and got this shot of people walking through Touchwood to the exit.
