Alluring Alleyway

Love the alleyway behind Ju and Tom's house, which is closed off with locked gates either end, and is filled with cherry and apple trees, hollyhocks, lettuces and onions, raspberries, bees, butterflies, comfy chairs and even a deck.

I've repotted some of their plants and finished scraping and wirebrushing the front garden walls, and Mike has finished putting in an extra, large airbrick below floor level. He and Tom are currently rewiring the kitchen; Julia is hopefully running a bath.

Meanwhile, in the wider world, Mr Johnson has resigned, may the devil we don't know not be worse than the one we do...

Gratefuls:
- chatting to some of their neighbours as I worked out the front, in the warm sunshine
- a nap after an awful night; am I allergic to prawns??
- going for some delicious Indian street food just round the corner, as the kitchen is out of action
