As expected, the extra time this morning made us all in a good mood. Ahhh :)

J's new starter at work doesnt start for a month yet but she came in today for same training and as it was quiet, J got to come home for a couple of hours. Not quite a whole day off yet but as this little break was unexpected it felt really exciting. A bit like when I use to work in an office and we sometimes went to the pub on a Friday and it would turn into an afternoon session. J spent the time getting his mobile phone contract reduced which resulting in him also getting a new phone in the deal? We've taken a load of stuff to the charity shop end then picked the girls up. They played football in the garden together while I made dinner. This is what we've all been missing. Getting stuff done and quality time together.

E got to have her second experience of 'playing out' this afternoon. I watched her again from the window. She was playing nicely but forgot to check her watch and came home 30 minutes late! Rookie error E! Although I knew she was fine because I could see her, I've explained that that we could have been really worried, or phoned the police. I knew she would have to slip up at one point and there's no harm done, but I've said she needs to stay in now for a week and then we'll talk about it again. I need it to be enough of a ballache for her to remember next time to check her bloomin watch! Im going to be terrible as my girls his their teens. J is on about putting up an electric fence to keep boyfriends away!
