Views of my world

Lazy

It's a lazy blip tonight because I'm tired. After my two late nights a relaxing reflexology session I'm ready for bed. Hadn't managed to catch the sunset like I'd hoped so found myself blipless. To continue the theme though here is the rear view of the Manse as painted by my mum.

Apart from the coincidence of stumbling upon the Eaglesham memories group on Facebook I think my trip down memory lane has also been encouraged by my ongoing thinking following Saturdays conference.

Children need to be loved.
Children need behavioural boundaries.
Children need to play and have fun.

I've been reflecting on my childhood and how I learned to be a parent. I've also been reflecting on how Carlos and I bring up Freya and Noah and wondering what they will be like as adults, and maybe even parents some day. I then think about parents and families in my nursery and wonder how to promote these values if it has not been your own experience growing up?

At work one of my parents is consulting the others on parenthood...
What's the best thing about being a parent?
What's the biggest challenge?
How easy is it to ask for help if you need it?
What happens when you do ask for help?

I've not had her feedback yet but if you have any thoughts please add them to the comments below...

This blip really shouldn't be called lazy, I've just turned it into work at half 11 at night!
