Littleton, NH

Littleton's claim to fame is the author of POLLYANNA, Eleanor Porter, was born there.  The town has signs all over "We are the GLAD Town".  
But for me Littleton's draw is good dark beer. There is a store with a whole wall of stouts and porters.  You can purchase single pint cans, instead of a 4 or 6 pack.  Fun!  There is a covered bridge over the Ammonoosuc River only for pedestrians.  And a brewery, with a deck, hanging over the river.  Extra is a new mural.  A very "glad" place.
