BBQ

CyclopsJnr had his second Covid jab today, handily at a place walking distance from our house. There was some confusion from the nurse about eligibility, with the number of weeks between jabs seeming wrong and maybe he couldn't have it. We just took him to the time/place on the letter! It turns out shielding households have different arrangements and it was all correct but this took a while to deduce. CyclopsJnr was a priority to get the jab as a member of a shielding household and he received his appointment for jab 1 on day 1 that primary age kids became eligible, and he was originally supposed to get done at the Infirmary.  But we had to put off his actual vaccination for 12 weeks because he had covid on the day of his appointment. I guess this nurse is not seeing many shielding families in the community as they all went to the Infirmary three months back, but CyclopsJnr got out of synch and confused them.

Well after that we didn't make any firm plans for the day as everything has felt very busy and scheduled for a while 

We played a great board game that CyclopsJnr had for his birthday from a friend - Game of life - and we did some bits and pieces round the house.

MrsCyclops later took CyclopsJnr swimming where they had a session with some inflatable pool toys and floats which was great we'll do that again. We also each had overpriced but delicious summer refresher drinks at Starbucks.

Then home for a barbecue with burgers and sausages, then Cyclops's special barbecued bananas with chocolate.
