Strong sun

The midsummer sun is very fierce and casts a strong shadow of our front gate.
I didn’t spend a lot of time outside. Chores in the morning, including cooking our usual Sunday roast, then tv in the afternoon watching the splendid Wimbledon mens’ singles final. Both men played incredible tennis and, as always, it is sad that somebody has to lose. Sad also that we are saying farewell to Sue Barker who has been a gracious presenter of the BBC coverage of the tournament for very many years. It won’t be the same without her.
