Heaven or Arran?
As much as I love photography, cycling is my our major hobby. One of my fav places on the planet is Arran - Scotland in miniature. Last night a spit of the moment decision to go for the day resulted in an early drive to `Ardrossan to meet a couple of Fifers and were on the boat as foot passengers with bikes. Off the boat, turn left and hit the notoriously undulating South-end. 25 miles round to the bro and sis-in-law’s Kinloch Hotel and a lunch stop looking across to the Mull of Kintyre and then onwards up to Lochranza, still waters, basking seals and views to watch forever and then the 600+ft climb up the Boglie. The reward is a 50mph swoop down the other side to Sannox, Corrie and back to Brodick to complete the 56 mile loop and rolling straight onto the waiting boat back, perfect timing. Trying just to pick one photo today was hard but I’ve settled on this shot looking across to Alisa Craig, then couldn’t resist adding a couple more.
A magical day.
