Ol' Boris the Boiler - 40T CO2 GONE!

Seriously folks this is our 57 year old oil guzzling burning heating boiler at my office. We had some asbestos professionally removed at the weekend so we can complete the final stage of removing it. In its place will be a large Li-ion battery storage bank which will be capturing energy generated by our new solar and wind array generating 40kW of electrical power. This power will then be used to run up to 6 Airsource Heat Pumps so that by the autumn we will heat our offices and workshop with our own self generated and stored energy. Apart from the cost benefit of not buying 1200L of oil per month, we save pumping over 40 Tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere, win/win!
In my day job I'm a Controls Engineer and we've designed, built and programmed this smart energy system from scratch - fingers crossed we are warm!!
