Successful weekend

Not sure how much has been raised for Sue Ryder Manorlands (our local Hospice) but a fun weekend has been had. A steady stream of people have wandered around the village, and everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves, which is what we want.

This is the lace detail from the Lace maker, and the extra is a lovely entry with a ballet dancer and an artist.

The theme was Hobbies and pastimes.

There were scarecrows representing tennis, golf, rugby, cycling, orienteering, climbing, karate, football, skiing, and fishing (x3). We had children playing represented 3 times, knitting and or crocheting 3 times, lacemaking, ballet dancing, abstract painting, gaming, gardening, baking, model making, music and a multi disciplinary tableau which included, reading, gardening, crocheting and equestrian.

So much effort has gone into these it has been a delight to see, but I am now beginning to relax after a busy couple of weeks organising it all.
