Green Square
This triangulaire shaped pavillon provides the entrance to the Green Square Public Library. Being glass, it casts minimal shadow on the plaza.
Following a 2012 international design competition, the architect Stewart Hollenstein was the unanimous winner with this design.
The library itself is one level underground. A central sunken garden and other design features ensure an abundance of natural light. I went in and saw it is being well used by students, children and general public. I like the flow between the different-use spacers.
Thanks for hosting Laurie.
