Passionfruit vine tendril

I can and do look at things like this tendril for a long time. The wonders of nature, producing this tendril, wound like a spring, until it has to do extention or traction, whatever it takes to  harness the structure it lacks, so it can reach the sunlight. Otherwise the vine would lie limp on the ground.

Then there are the colours.
