...Common Petunia! 

How little it takes to make my day! 

No stunning day lilies ready yet for blipping but these hardly little devils are still going strong! They were a Mother's Day gift from my daughter and SIL way back on May 8! I figured they deserved their Blip-moment in the sun for their long service...and, also a hat's off to all my every-day hostas who just keep hanging in there despite the weeds and my neglect ..and who are just now coming into bud...definitely not very glamorous plants, but I love them and they make me smile on a daily basis......

Meanwhile, many of us here are still suffering the after-shocks of that Rogers Nation-wide outage..oh how I love to call it NATION-WIDE..to keep hitting home that one company should not be able to disable an entire country! For me, it was my TV..it had not come back on yet....I had been looking forward to the men's final tennis match at Wimbledon..in fact my entire week had been leading up to it and then Rogers bungled everything...I was SO frustrated when the match had started and despite the media announcement that everything was back up and running, I still had no tv signal.... BUT, I kept trying and testing it over and over throughout the day..and voila! At last..there it was ... an image! and even sound! Just in time to catch the last set and the tie-breaker!..so all was not totally lost....

Then a lovely surprise...My friend P called from the local nursery where they were having their big 40% off Hydrangea Sale...she was picking up a few for herself and a neighbour and did I want her to get me a couple? Well, of course I did ! At 40% off? Of course! And ...hydrangeas were already on E's gardening list for this coming week.. it is amazing how these things work out...

So, I am now the proud caretaker of two soon-to-be-glamorous hydrangeas..."Game Changer..Pink Picotes" and "Endless Summer - the Original".. I hope E can find the perfect place in the garden for them to thrive..it will be a challenge..but I have faith in him! 

Perhaps tomorrow..day lilies?
