Baggage reclaim

I spent most of the day in Glasgow airport which in its way was quite relaxing, and I sped through bag drop and security in about 20 minutes. Just before boarding my first flight to Heathrow I got the call to say that my trip to the Lofoten Islands was cancelled due to the last minute cancellation of the flight from Oslo to Evenes. I wasn’t surprised and was half expecting it. I was just pleased it had happened before I was stuck in London’s heatwave with clothes for the arctic circle.
Amazingly 30 minutes later my bag appeared in the baggage reclaim and I was home an hour later. And the Premier Inn at Heathrow offered me a cancellation way past the 1pm deadline which was impressive.
I am hopeful that I might actually get there next year, fourth time lucky.
