Plymouth

We are in Plymouth today. Another first-time city. After checking into the Crowne Plaza Hotel we walked down to the harbourside and had a late lunch in relaxed Bonne Santé. It was beautiful sunny weather for walk around the harbour, including the Mayflower Steps and up to 'Plymouth Hoe'. Tinside Lido and Smeaton's Tower are visible in the background of the photo. There were so many people swimming in the sea.

We had a really nice swim before breakfast in the excellent pool at Voco St David's in Cardiff this morning. Conor is still learning to swim and is very keen to improve. There was a lucky reprieve for Max who almost got left in the hotel room under the bed covers as we were checking out.

In the evening Mum and Dad got to have dinner in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the top floor of the hotel with incredible views of the Hoe and a beautiful sunset.
