Night swim

It was full moon last night but we couldn’t get a swim in for a variety of mundane reasons. Kate and I met on the beach at 9:30 tonight though. The sea still looked a bit far out so I nipped home to get us gin and tonics. Once we had finished them, there was plenty of sea- it was flat, warm, dark and clear. Simply ever so brilliant. And the moon rocked up just as we were leaving. We are going to do that more often, moon or no moon.

Before that, all the work, a nice breeze to relieve the stifling heat, umbrella academy with Will and some more of the thrilling Tour de France.
