Childers

Saw this house up on a hill, typical of the area. We are staying at the Nature Camp just outside the small town of Childers. It is  a very quirky town with loads of interesting buildings. None of the pictures came out. Grr. 

We picked this campground from WikiCamps. It’s a bit like a box of Chocolates, you never know what you are going to get (so says Forrest Gump). As we were driving closer I just knew what Bob was thinking. “Where IS she taking us this time”. It’s a rough diamond I guess, not very classy but quiet and we have lots of space out in the scrub. The write up said it was not a nudist camp, that’s a relief. 

We drove south, about 5-20km away from the coast, with hills, tall trees and cane crops. Last year when we were here we visited my friend Jean but we are due at my brother in law’s place tomorrow. A trip like this is full of all the things you don’t have time to fit in.
