Friday: Doorways

Much to our delight, we discovered that our hop on - hop off bus tickets were valid for two days so we hopped back on today.  We got off at Signal Hill where we took the 45 min trail into Quidi Vidi village.

We had a 2pm booking for lunch at Mallard Cottage.  It was absolutely outstanding.  We shared halibut skewers, and a beet salad, and each had fish cakes.  That lasted us well into the evening so all we needed tonight was something small - we shared some mussels at Yellowbelly Brewery.  Our server gave us a pint on the house as we were talking books and he asked for some classic sci fi recommendations.  K and I had great fun pulling a list together.

The weather cleared up beautifully but our walk was a bit cloudy this morning, hence not really having any views to show you. Well, I’ve added one…….
