Not been out. Maybe we will after dinner.

Had to be in for: a) Electrician - came early morning to check flickering lights. Verdict the fittings need replacing, but not dangerous. b) Post Office delivery - Mr B’s new tennis shoes, which arrived midday.

Too many day trippers and weekenders around, so didn’t feel like joining them. Mr B kindly popped out for eye drops for ‘E’ upstairs (his son and 3 friends staying - one has a red eye). He walked into town and returned saying it was really really hot out there. For the moment our flat is surprisingly comfortable - thanks to Southerly breezes. It can boil in the sun.

As for my blip. Since Venus arrived I haven’t seen a single juicy fly - only the aphids attracted by my herbs. I hope she survives without a decent meal.
