Saturday Thistles.....

Another day of various jobs .
Once I'd been round the cattle , headed off next door to bale up the grass that I cut earlier in the week.
Once that was done, headed home hitched up a bale trailer and ,after a quick lunch, headed back next door to haul this morning's bales down to the steading. Wee brother set about wrapping them while I headed back home and hitched the mower onto the Class tractor. Back next door to cut another field of grass. Finished by 6pm,so back home, loaded up the Landrover and headed off down the road to feed cattle. Had Littlemiss and the terrier as travel companions too .
On the way home we stopped at the Shell garage to fill the Jerry cans with petrol and top up the Landrover with diesel. Not a nice job with petrol at 187p /litre and Derv at 197p.. Don't know how the country gets out of this mess we are in,but the price of fuel is beyond a joke and it is an unavoidable necessity in agriculture to produce and transport food.
There were quite a few big scotch thistles in the field I mowed. Will need to remember to wear gloves when rolling out the bales from this field!
