Dreich!

What a surprise, after an age of dry weather to find everything wet. And the wetness continued all morning. So we decided a matinee film was in order - Elvis along at Ocean Terminal. And I tell you, it is very good indeed. And the most Baz Luhrmanny parts are even better that that. A visual delight. And Tom Hanks is a terrific pantomime villain. Maybe some snooty reviewers think it’s a biopic or something.
Back to get that boat over to the mooring. The SK’s boat hook skills are being honed to perfection. And young Tam came and uplifted us from the boat, for which I rewarded him with a tin of beer. Of course, I had to accompany him in drinking it, it being a Friday evening, so before long we were sitting comfily in his vast trimaran’s saloon. Not sure it was quite what the SK had in mind when she offered to help me with the boat, mind.
