Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)

The morning papers and then blimey, did it come away nice. We went up town as it was the opening day of the jazz’n’blues festival which tbh I’ve never rated much. But hey, it was sunny and the opening day’s events are FREE! And Lordy Lordy, who did we bump into straight away but AJ with some pal in tow. And while we chatted, MrT and Wendy! What were the chances (yes, quite high). And just to finish it all off, F and his missus. Again, what were the chances?
Talking of chances (nice segue), AJ bets that this Kemi Badenoch (who she?) will make it to become the leader of the Tories. I mean, literally - he has the betting slip at 20/1 to show me. Equally surprisingly it seems that (according to polling of Tory Party members) it doesn’t matter whether Truss or Mordaunt (or indeed Badenoch) is left in the race to face off to Sunak, they’d all beat him!
