It sounded like it.
Not the spin cycle on the washing machine - nor the kettle ..... that just distracted me and forced me to get the camera and take pictures of the ripple patterns (they were caused by the spin cycle on the washing machine) ... 2 more.
It was the metal label rattling on SWMBO's fancy expensive water bottle - that was caused by the washing machine.

Our TV is getting on in years and getting a bit dark (and has no brightness control) so we went down to the local electrical store to see what is on the market.
What a waste of time that was - 90% of them were not plugged in and those that were, were the size of a cinema screen.
