Long walls, long days

Another early start today. Still the benefits are that I get to stay with Ma n Pa and slingshot down to the Cotswolds for the next few days. I'm actually in a beautiful marquee (with chandeliers, dontcha know), in the grounds of Sudeley Castle; and I know I should be blipping this, or Warwick Castle or the rolling views or something.

But what caught my eye was the stunning labour of love that was this freshly laid Cotswold dry stone wall. How many weeks? Months?

What TOTAL skillage. And patience. And beauty. And great to see the ancient ways are still with us.

Up early again tomorrow... And tucked up in my old bed listening to the rain.
