Orchids

W didn't sleep well last night.  And it's hot and muggy, and neither of us cope very well with heat - though you'd think with his South African upbringing that W would be used to it, in fact he probably dislikes it more than me.

And, my left eye having been much better yesterday, today I woke with pain and inflammation.   Putting a contact lens in doesn't make it worse, but I don't think is advisable.  So today I've had one eye with a lens in, working for distance vision, and one without a lens.

At 5 in the evening we finally stirred ourselves, and drove the short distance to Portumna Forest Park.  There, we took a short walk, spotting several orchids, but no red squirrels, unfortunately.
