Curiosity

This pale coloured duck on Red Brick Dam is a bit of a curiosity. Their brood look like Mallard ducklings to me, which made me wonder if it might be a leucistic Mallard, but others have suggested it will be some sort of of hybrid. Feet on show in extra. Your thoughts are welcomed.

I was out before 7 to get a walk in before the heat developed. The butterflies and dragonflies hadn’t properly woken up yet, but there were a few about.

Otherwise I stayed indoors and worked from home. The ground floor of my house stays fairly cool, although even here it did get up to 25 degrees by the end if the day. The attic rooms were a furnace though, despite blinds being drawn all day.
