Another before breakfast walk to beat the heat of the day and nice to bump into this Purple Hairstreak butterfly in the playground. They spend most of their time at the top of oak trees, so. it was unexpected to encounter one at ground level.

It was also a good time of day to catch the Swallows at Moorside, there were about fifty perched on various wires at one point.

Thereafter another work at home and stay inside day.
