Community artwork

At the Langdyke Countryside Trust AGM yesterday, Kathryn Parsons - Artist and I led a cyanotype workshop, linking the activity with research on the former Westings Meadow, which stretched from Nine Bridges to Lolham Bridges, and is now occupied by three LCT reserves, as well as areas of gravel extraction and arable land.

As part of the activity the group gathered treasures from the allotments at Etton High Meadow and then placed these on a piece of cotton fabric pre-treated with cyanotype solution. Everyone involved was fascinated to watch the development process, and the final results were beautiful. We now need to find somewhere to display our Langdyke community artwork permanently!
