That there....

is the highlight of my summer. I don't think anything will top that look on her face. Her total joy at an impromptu sunrise beach trip where mama swam in the sea with her and we did proper sea swimming in the cove that we had all to ourselves. We had breakfast in towels on the beach. We watched a beautiful moth. She climbed. We found a piece of sea glass. We drove to a second beach for hot chocolate, flapjack and another paddle with some more sea glass hunting. 

She told me it was the best day ever.

We have since then reverted to just trying not to melt in the heat. We have no fan. The house has no curtains in the lounge. It's grim. 

But this morning was good. It was much joy.
