Drought

The temperature got over 30C today, the weather station said 31.7C but I'm not sure of its accuracy but definitely not nearly 2C out. It was more than hot enough and we had virtually no breeze, it must have been awful for those who had it 10C hotter.
A quiet day, mostly indoors, though we have cleared a lot of things from the living room so we can move the furniture for the carpet men. A few things got thrown out and more will at the replacing stage.
A meeting early afternoon would normally have been reached by bike but the uphill journey didn't seem wise so I went by car and did some shopping on the way.
More Tour, more sewing and an evening walk to the ponds. the north one isn't bad but this south one is drying up. Even if the feeding lade wasn't silted up it still wouldn't get much water as the Dighty is so low.
We need rain!
