Records broken

As predicted records were broken throughout the UK today with a new UK record set at 40.3C
 And a new record was set in Scotland with
34.8 C recorded in the Scottish Borders.
 
Today it reached 31C in Stirling. I was better prepared psychologically for it and it did not feel as oppressive as yesterday. It helped having a gentle walk in Mine woods.
 
Tonight we watched in horror on the telly of London burning, started by a compost heap overheating in a garden.
