A wasp thing
The heat didn't abate yesterday evening, there wasn't a breathe of wind, although we did have a slight downpour, which dried as soon as it hit the ground. I didn't get to sleep until past 2 a.m. and woke around 6.30 a.m. when the alarm went off for JJ to get up for golf.
Today started hot and was 25.5 degrees in the car as I headed over to M&S to pick up a stir-fry for tonight's dinner.
The wasps may have a nest in the roof as there's a bit of coming and going under the eaves. There's certainly a lot of activity at the bird and hedgehog watering stations, although most of the wasps seem to be heading off towards the orchard.
A photography friend has started a pet photography business and as it's our son's partner's birthday early next week, I've organised a photoshoot for her and the dog, so have had to put brain in gear to print out the voucher. It looks rather good on gloss paper. I've added her collage as an extra.
The wasps love the fennel.
