Harvest 2022

I went out this morning to see if there were any harvest photos to be had, I did not expect to see this...

This is a CLAAS Super Automatic S Trailed Combine Harvester being pulled and powered by a Massey Ferguson 3070. The last 3070s were built in 1992 and the last of this type of combine were build in 1978. It was a treat to see this pair of veterans still out working.

But there's more. Following the combine was a John Deere 2140 pulling a CLAAS Rollant 62 Baler. The tractor at least 35 years old and the baler older than that. (extra)

At the side of the field pulling a trailer for the crop was a Ford 6610 tractor, about 30 years old and obviously worked hard for may years. (extra)

Not all the farmers in Cambridgeshire use up to date hi-tech and ever more powerful machinery but not many are still using gear this old...
