Sally Mair - Loving life

Colour overload

What an absolute riot of colour in the garden just now. These pinks and purples are quite shocking yet in nature they work. They look a bit like a Zandra Rhodes outfit!
This time last week we were getting ready for our celebration. I can't believe a week has passed already. We've been preparing since they got engaged in 2018, a rather longer wait than they'd intended for their receipting and an extra start guest too! I'm going to have to find something else to do to keep me out of mischief now!
Today was fairly quiet with a visit from Ali and Josie who is now constantly pulling herself to her feet and beginning to cruise, just like her mum, she's 10 months tomorrow. How time flies.
I did a couple of sorties to the supermarkets this afternoon buying the supplies for the church BBQ on Sunday. I think I must have nodded off when the decision that I should organise it was made. Ah well, if I miss something, I miss it and if there are too many people - as nobody has made a list of attendees, then that's good news, andTesco is just across the road to get some extra sausages!
I've a dreadful cough just now, nothing to do with covid I'm sure, just my usual, but I'm rather fed up with it as it disturbs my sleep. On a more positive side, I'm managing without my splint most days now. I have a rather noticeable tan line though where it was!
