Dungeons & Dragons 'The Adventure Begins'

Orla and Conor and Dad have been playing this game for the last three days and finally completed it today. It's a simplified version of D&D but still requires players to come up with ideas and describe how they are going to approach various situations ("encounters") or how to attack various monsters. Orla loved being a Dungeon Master and with her drama skills and encyclopaedic memory she should be great at it. We'll try the full game next week.
