Red!

We have a Rhododendron in the garden that we have owned ever since our first house, 26 years ago. It used to sit in a half barrel but when we moved into our present home 17 years ago the barrel rotted away and so we planted it in the border. It has thrived.??

It is in full flower at the moment and when I looked out into the garden on getting back from work it was in full sun.??

A down and dirty focus stack made from 14 images. The camera was on a tripod and I adjusted the focus manually. I also used a Wimberley Plamp (= Plant + clamp) to hold the head of the flower as still as possible. Even so I was aware that the plant had moved in each frame but the software (Helicon Focus) did a cracking job of alignment. No touching up (feeling lazy).
