Ice Patterns

Woke up to a hard frost and these amazing patterns all over the car's surfaces. These fan shapes are about a foot long.

I also saw a funny thing while sitting in the study. A pair of collared doves and wood pigeons were sitting in a garden tree and were alternately lifting each wing to expose their flanks as the rain shower came down. Imagine taking a shower and lifting your arm to clean your armpit! Bizarre, never seen this behaviour before but I could have sworn they were washing themsleves.
