Dry pond
I'm happy that my favourite salvia (a gift from a gardener friend, not sure what variety it is) is in bloom but I can't keep up with the pond due to hip pain from heavy watering and it's now *very* dry...
I managed to top it up with the volume of an entire waterbutt so this will help a bit.
I noticed a few days ago that frogs have been digging soil everywhere in search of moist cool soil to hide in. It's very unsightly but there's no point backfilling the holes as more appear straight away.
I'm finding myself nearly hoping for a wet August. I know, what about the dreaded blight?!
