Bye bye Cappadocia

So, with our holiday in Cappadocia at an end, we left Murat's hotel at 1pm for the 5+ hour/500+km drive to our overnight stay in Afyonkarahisar.  This meant mostly driving through mile after mile of arable farmland that is Konya with fields of sunflowers and sugar cane. Today's pics are grabshots from the car window.  

Tonight's hotel is very large, with lots of glass,  catering for the somewhat odd combination of family vacation and conference centre with pool, spa & wellness, 'activity areas' as well as corners providing comfy seating with coffee machines next to glass partitioned meeting spaces and mandatory outside spaces for team building exercises. Last but not least, the huge dining area which provided us this evening, though in a rather institutional kind of setting, a much needed multi course a la carte buffet of all-you-can-eat (and we did!!) Turkish cuisine.
