A wet walk
This morning was drizzly and showery but F and I decided that a walk would be good. We went to Oswestry Racecourse and set off armed with waterproof jackets, boots and umbrellas. We went down Candy Woods following the Offa's Dyke Path.
As we walked the rain got heavier and heavier. The leaves, ferns and mossy rocks were looking beautifully green as they were so wet.
As we walked back uphill to the Racecourse car park the rain got even heavier and the wind was blowing. My trousers were soaking wet and the wind blew the cold, wet material against my legs - yuk!
Even though the weather and the two of us were very wet, we really enjoyed the walk. It's lovely countryside and very few people were about (perhaps they had more sense). We had the path to ourselves and the only sounds there were the birds.
It's now early evening and the rain has stopped and the sun has come out. That's so typical!
