Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2022 Saturday — Date Night

I had already walked the Embarcadero from the south end boat launch area to the parking lot of Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant (27 minutes).

We then drove a little further south than Tidelands Park to Bayshore Bluffs Park, which had almost no one in it and therefore made it quite easy to walk Chloe and Mitzi.

Afterward we went back to the Embarcadero area to look for a parking space in the shade. And with great relief, we found one just out in front of the area where the Blue Sky Bistro is located (it’s on the other side, the waterfront side of the building). We made sure the pups were comfy, and then we walked toward the bistro entrance.

We were the only patrons that chose to sit in the cafe. We had a great view of the water, plus we watched all the walkers strolling past and the diners at the outside patio tables.

Mr. Fun had the chicken picatta and I had the hot pastrami sandwich on marbled rye; they were both delicious. Other than lunch with our friends yesterday, we haven’t been out to eat much lately. We have such a lovely view from our own dining table, that eating elsewhere is not usually our desire. I just need to find a chef who would live in my kitchen. That would be dandy.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too
