2022 Sunday — Roses are Red
We’ve enjoyed a very very slow day. Mr. Fun was not cranking on all 16 cylinders. He just couldn’t get his motor running. So we just coasted here on the coast.
The day outside was beautiful with much less overcast than the past few days and no fog. The fog does keep us lovely cool during these summer months when the rest of the nation is dealing with high temperatures. But gray days seem to cause the blues, so when the moisture lifts or simply blows away our mental gauge moves toward “content,” “refreshed,” or “happy.”
Because photo opts were not in abundance today I tried to capture these roses. This photo is not quality, but it captures some of the location of where we are.
As evening approached, Mr. Fun made noises about going out to eat, but I was content to stay home so creativity in the kitchen was what I attempted.
I boiled some bow tie pasta; then added pesto sauce. I also broiled slices of tomato sprinkled with feta cheese, celery salt, and garlic powder. As well, I sliced a baguette and toasted it with butter and garlic. I was experimenting with all of it. I thought dinner was okay. Mr. Fun thought it was "Delicious."
And that was the fourth Sunday of July, but not the final Sunday this month.
