Hold on......
This lovely dragonfly was clinging on well today in the breeze! I went for a wander at the local Downs and it was lovely to see a huge group of Dragonflies - about 20 - flying around overhead as I stopped for a break, along with many speckled woods, gatekeepers, ringlets and even a Red Admiral. What wasn't so good to see was just how bone dry everything was - some areas were looking very autumnal as so many trees were dropping their leaves after so much time without rain. And still none on the horizon. Even the various ponds were either very low or completely bone dry - no wonder the dragonflies were flying round the hills and meadows instead.
Stopped at a charity shop on the walk home too and found a lovely blouse that I didn't know I needed!
