Baby Robin....

Lovely sight in the garden this afternoon, watching this little one hopping around the garden looking for food! Found a nice perch on one of the solar lights to get a better view of what was available!

What wasn't such a lovely sight was a walk round Canvey Wick nature reserve this morning, after we did some shopping nearby, as it was hit badly by the grass fires last week and the devastation was so sad to see.  Smoke smell was still very strong and I've never known it so quiet over there on the wildlife front as the burnt areas covered quite a few large areas.  Spotted one Whitethroat in a burnt tree :(    Just hoping that it all regrows and that the wildlife returns.  And be thankful for the fire brigade managing to get it under control before it took out the whole area
