Rockin’ Rain

Light showers started falling @ 9am this morning. Hours of this gentle rain is exactly what the ground needs. It’s almost noon and it’s still coming down, but thunderstorms and heavy rain are predicted for the afternoon and evening. We welcome it in any form! • We have a small flower bed around our mailbox for summer and fall annuals. This year we tried something new, “Lisianthus”. We planted a dozen of them before Memorial Day and they started opening this week: so far, purple, pink, white and purple & white blooms sit atop long slender stems. They look similar to rosebuds before opening. We really like them but they would look better grouped together, I think, or in the back of a mixed flower bed • Supplies for the shed upgrade were delivered this morning. We chatted with our contractor for a while before rescheduling the start date to tomorrow due to the weather • MrsP and I are taking the day off to read, play a game, listen to music, watch a movie, whatever suits our fancy! • Let it rain!
